These actuators typically employ a gear-driven double-piston design. Their cylinders are often made of aluminum alloy to reduce weight. A manual operating mechanism can be added to the top or bottom of the actuator.
The valve's opening angle and rated flow rate can be adjusted via a rack and pinion connection. Some actuators can be equipped with electrical signal feedback indicators and other accessories to achieve automated operation.
The connection between the actuator and the valve can conform to the ISO 5211 standard. Fine-tuning of the valve near its standard open and closed positions can be achieved by adjusting the adjusting screws at both ends.
