High Temperature Control Valve

Yuhong high-temperature control valves run on hot steam, thermal oil, hot gas, and high-temperature process fluids. Heat-resistant body, metal-seated trim, and high-temp packing let plants hold control where a standard valve would start leaking at the stem, stick, or burn through its trim.

Description

Shandong Yuhong Valve Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of high temperature control valve in China. We have world-leading production equipment and strong manufacturing capabilities. Welcome to wholesale bulk high-grade high temperature control valve from our factory.

A high-temperature control valve is for lines hotter than standard valve service. It modulates flow, pressure, temperature, or level in hot pipelines - power plants, petrochemical units, thermal-oil systems, heating stations, boilers, high-temp chemical processes.

Heat is what breaks valves here. Packing ages fast, soft seals lose strength, the stem expands, trim wears or distorts, and heat climbs the bonnet into the actuator and positioner. A standard valve can pass the first pressure test and still fail after a few months on a hot line. So we design around those field risks as a set: body material, bonnet, trim, packing, gasket, and actuator connection all checked together. For the worse cases we use an extended or heat-dissipation bonnet to pull heat off the packing and actuator, and metal or hard-faced seats where soft sealing won't survive.

Before we build, our engineers read medium, temperature, pressure, pressure drop, flow, pipe size, and leakage class. The outside follows your line; the trim and Cv have to match the actual flow. When demand runs below full capacity, we drop in reduced trim or rework the internal flow path so control stays stable instead of hunting.

Product Features

Heat-Resistant Body and Bonnet

It starts with the body - it has to hold pressure and keep strength under heat, so WC6, WC9, stainless, or alloy goes in by the real temperature and pressure. The bonnet matters just as much: heat walks up the stem, and once the packing zone gets too hot, leakage climbs. An extended or heat-dissipation bonnet pushes the packing away from the hottest metal and gives the seals a fighting chance.

Metal Seat for Hot Media

Soft seats don't last on hot lines - heat breaks them down and kills seal life. For most steam, hot oil, and hot gas work a metal seat is the practical call. Where velocity, pressure drop, or erosion is in play, we hard-face the plug and seat; Stellite is the usual choice when the trim needs to keep wearing without wearing out.

Stable Stem Movement

Heat changes metal dimensions. The stem, plug, guide, and seat have to hold the right clearance once everything's hot - too tight and it sticks, too loose and you lose accuracy or start leaking. We check the trim fit at design and assembly, and we check actuator thrust too, because hot packing and guides drag harder.

High-Temperature Packing and Gasket

Packing and gasket have to match the real temperature - flexible graphite is the common pick, and the gasket type follows pressure, temperature, and flange standard. These are the parts people skip, but they decide leakage, service interval, and site safety. A strong body means nothing if the packing lets go first.

Product Advantages For Buyers

End users

Better material and sealing cuts stem and flange leakage, so less maintenance and a safer line.

Steam & thermal-oil systems

Stable trim travel is the whole game. A sticky or laggy valve wrecks the loop; we check Cv, trim, actuator thrust, and packing friction up front so it tracks after install.

Project buyers

One valve built to the heat level you actually have. Some jobs need only high-temp packing; others need extended bonnet, hard-faced trim, alloy body, special gasket. We read the data first, then spec it - not the other way around.

Distributors

Serves power, chemical, heating, refinery, boiler users. Those customers buy on service life, spares, and steady supply, not the lowest opening price.

Application Fields

Power plants

Steam, condensate, boiler feed, heating steam, auxiliaries.

Petrochemical

Hot oil, hot gas, reactor feed, heating medium, process temperature.

Thermal oil

Regulates hot oil to reactors, dryers, exchangers, equipment.

District heating

Hot water or steam on main and branch lines.

Boilers

Steam pressure, bypass, heat-exchange control.

Chemical plants

High-temp process liquids when material and trim are matched.

Manufacturing And Quality Control

We start the high-temp detail at the top of production: body, trim, bonnet, packing, gasket, actuator, accessories all matched to the condition. Body, bonnet, plug, seat, stem, guide are machined to drawing; hard-faced parts get extra attention, sealing faces stay clean and even, stem travel stays smooth after assembly. Each valve runs shell pressure, seat leakage, stroke, and actuator tests plus final inspection; project orders ship with drawings, material certs, test reports, inspection and pack photos. Built under ISO 9001, to IEC 60534, ASME B16.34 / B16.5, ANSI/FCI 70-2, GB, or your project standard.

Installation And Use Notes

Leave working room around the actuator and bonnet for inspection. If it's a heat-dissipation bonnet, don't bury it in insulation unless the project engineer signs off.

Control pipe stress. Hot lines grow in service, and stray load throws off body alignment, stem travel, and sealing.

Warm up slowly where you can - sudden temperature swing adds thermal stress. On steam, drain condensate properly; water hammer bends trim and seats.

At commissioning, watch stem travel, actuator response, packing, and leaks. If it goes stiff after heating, check packing load, actuator thrust, and stem alignment.

Packaging And Shipping

Export wooden cases, body and actuator fixed inside, flange faces capped, accessories protected from impact. Positioner or electrical bits get extra padding. Sea freight gets moisture-proof wrap. Pack photos go out before shipment, and the case is marked with model, size, pressure rating, order number, and your shipping mark so you can ID it fast on arrival.

Purchase Notes For Project Buyers

Don't pick this by temperature number alone - medium, pressure, pressure drop, flow, leakage class, and layout all count. Steam needs condensate and flashing care; thermal oil needs sealing and fire-safety attention; hot gas needs material and trim checks because velocity runs high. And watch the actuator: heat reaches nearby instruments, so if it sits close to a hot line, plan protection or spacing. We'll review the condition first - if you only need high-temp packing we won't over-build it; if the service is severe we'll call for extended bonnet, hard-faced trim, alloy, or whatever it takes.

FAQ

Q1: When do I need one?

When process temperature is past normal control-valve service - steam, thermal oil, hot water, hot gas, high-temp chemical fluids.

Q2: Why does the bonnet matter so much?

Heat climbs the stem and bonnet; too hot at the packing and leakage climbs. Extended or heat-dissipation bonnets keep the packing and actuator cooler.

Q3: Can it use a soft seat?

Depends on temp and medium. Most high-temp service runs metal seats because soft materials don't last. Final call is off the real condition.

Q4: What materials?

WCB for some moderate-hot work; WC6, WC9, stainless, alloy as temp or pressure rises. Trim in stainless, Stellite, or special alloy.

Q5: What causes packing leaks in hot service?

High-temp aging, wrong packing, stem wear, bad adjustment, vibration, thermal cycling. Check packing material and bonnet design before build.

Q6: Does the actuator need heat protection?

Sometimes. Keep actuator and positioner off excessive heat - bonnet length, insulation layout, and install space all factor in.

Q7: What for a quote?

Medium, temperature, inlet/outlet pressure, flow, pipe size, leakage class, install condition - and mention insulation if the line has it.

Q8: Which spares?

Packing, gasket, plug, seat ring, stem parts, actuator kits. For steam or thermal oil, keep packing and gasket sets on hand.

Why Choose Yuhong Valve

High-temp service exposes the small stuff. The body looks tough, but the real failures start at the packing, gasket, stem, or trim clearance - so we check those before we build. Our team reads medium and temperature first; steam, thermal oil, hot gas, and hot chemical don't carry the same risk, and each may want a different bonnet, trim, and seal. We'll give you the practical option, not one fixed design: keep it simple for moderate heat, step up to extended bonnet, hard-faced trim, high-temp packing, alloy, or stronger actuator when the service is severe. Distributors and project buyers get drawings, datasheets, certs, test reports, inspection and pack photos. Repeat orders stay easy - we keep size, material, trim, bonnet, actuator, and the order record, so spares and reorders match.
