Shandong Yuhong Valve Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of jacketed control valve in China. We have world-leading production equipment and strong manufacturing capabilities. Welcome to wholesale bulk high-grade jacketed control valve from our factory.
A jacketed control valve is a globe-style control valve with a heating shell around the body. Steam, hot water, or thermal oil runs through that shell, outside the flow path, holding the body at a steady temperature while the trim regulates flow, pressure, or level.
Most media aren't like water, air, or steam. Resin, asphalt, sulfur, polymer, heavy oil, waxy liquids, and plenty of chemicals get thick as they cool - some crystallize or go solid in the body. Then the plug sticks, the seat leaks, and the loop drifts. The jacket doesn't take over the control function; it just keeps the body warm enough that the medium stays fluid through the trim.
Before we build one, our engineers pin down the medium, operating temperature, heating medium, pressure, flow range, pipe size, viscosity, and whether it crystallizes. Those answers decide the jacket form, body and trim materials, actuator, and flange standard. Bottom line for you: the valve has to do more than regulate - it has to stay workable when the medium turns sticky or starts to freeze, and the jacket is how the body is designed to do that.

Product Features
Heating Jacket Around the Valve Body
Steam, hot water, or thermal oil passes through the jacket and dumps heat straight into the body - right at the seat and plug, where cold spots form and flow stalls. That's what keeps the medium from going thick in the trim.

Better Flow for High-Viscosity Media
Viscous fluid slows and goes unstable as it cools, and the actuator has to push harder to move the plug. A warmed body keeps it fluid, so the valve tracks setpoint through the throttling range instead of fighting the fluid.
Useful for Crystallizing or Solidifying Fluids
Some chemicals crystallize below a set temperature; others set after shutdown. Either one blocks the valve and stops the line. The jacket holds the body in a safe window during operation, and most plants keep it heated on standby or through warm-up so restart is clean.

Custom Jacket Connections
Inlet and outlet are laid out from your pipeline drawing, not a catalog default. We confirm port position, heating-medium pressure, and connection type before production, so it drops into your steam or thermal-oil system without rework.
Product Advantages For Buyers
The problem this valve solves is the one every high-viscosity line hits eventually: once the medium cools, the valve won't move.
Project users
Fewer shutdowns from solidification. The jacket holds the body in a better temperature band, so the plug stops sticking, the seat stops blocking, and control response holds.
Chemical & polymer plants
Material keeps moving. The valve stops being just a control point and becomes part of your temperature management.
Distributors
It fits customers running asphalt, resin, sulfur, polymer, heavy oil, or waxy fluids. Those buyers care about staying running more than they care about the lowest quote.
Maintenance teams
In a lot of services the jacket means less cleaning. When the medium doesn't cool and set in the body, the valve is easier to run and inspect.
Application Solutions
Resin & polymer
Control sticky streams that have to stay warm through transfer or reaction.
Asphalt & heavy oil
Jacket cuts viscosity so the medium moves through the valve.
Sulfur
Holds a suitable temperature, keeps it from setting.
Fine chemicals
For materials that crystallize or thicken cold.
Thermal-oil systems
Control high-temperature fluid while the body stays stable.
Skid & packaged units
Matches up with jacket piping for continuous operation.
Manufacturing And Quality Control
We hold the jacket to the same standard as the valve body. The body meets pressure and seat-leakage specs; the jacket has to be clean, strong, and welded right. Body, trim, stem, seat, bonnet, and jacket connections are checked as they're built - plug travel stays smooth after assembly, and jacket ports are clear and connect cleanly.
Every valve runs shell pressure, seat leakage, stroke, and actuator tests, plus final inspection; the jacket gets pressure-tested when the project requires it. For project orders we supply drawings, material certs, test reports, inspection photos, and pack shots. Built under ISO 9001, and to IEC 60534, ASME B16.34 / B16.5, ANSI/FCI 70-2, GB, or your project standard.
Installation And Use Notes
Connect the jacket inlet and outlet correctly and keep heating medium flowing - a blocked jacket does nothing.
Warm the jacket before first opening when the medium sets easily; it stops the plug sticking on startup.
On shutdown, clean or keep the valve warm per the medium. Some fluids harden in place if they sit and cool, so plan the purge or heat before a long stop.
Check actuator thrust at commissioning. Viscous service pushes back harder than water or gas, and the actuator has to match that.
Packaging And Shipping
These valves run heavier than a plain control valve because of the jacket. We fix body and actuator inside export wooden cases so they don't shift in transit, cap the flanges and jacket ports, and pack small accessories separately and labeled. Sea freight gets moisture-proof wrapping. Pack photos go out before delivery, and the case carries your order number, model, size, and labels so receiving can check against the PO.
Purchase Notes For Project Buyers
Sizing a jacketed valve takes more than DN and PN - the medium drives everything. Confirm whether it's viscous, crystallizing, waxy, sticky, or sets on cooldown, and what's heating it: steam, hot water, and thermal oil each run at different temperature and pressure, so the jacket has to match the medium on site. We also confirm jacket port direction from a sketch before production, which heads off the install problems that only show up once the valve is on-site. Repeat orders keep the jacket style, materials, port positions, and trim on file, so spares and reorders match the first unit.
FAQ
Q1: When do I need a jacketed control valve?
When the medium thickens, crystallizes, or solidifies as it cools - resin, asphalt, sulfur, polymer, heavy oil, waxy fluids.
Q2: What's the jacket for?
It lets steam, hot water, or thermal oil run around the body so the medium stays warm inside and is less likely to block.
Q3: Will the jacket heat the whole pipeline?
No. It heats the valve only. The line needs its own insulation or tracing if you have to hold temperature along the full length.
Q4: Can it be heated with steam?
Yes - steam is the usual choice. We confirm steam pressure, temperature, and jacket connection before production.
Q5: What goes wrong if the jacket isn't used right?
The medium cools in the valve, goes thick, crystallizes, or sets - plug sticks, control drops, it leaks, and restart is a fight.
Q6: What do I send for a quote?
Medium name, viscosity, operating temperature, inlet and outlet pressure, flow range, pipe size, heating medium, and jacket connection requirement.
Q7: Can it be cleaned after use?
Yes. Flushing, heating, draining, or strip-down - depends on the medium. We confirm the plan with you from the process fluid.
Q8: Do you send drawings before production?
Yes. Outline drawing and jacket connection details go out for your check against the pipeline layout before we build.
Why Choose Yuhong Valve
A jacketed valve isn't a standard valve with a shell bolted on. Jacket position, heating path, trim travel, and the space you've got to install it all change how it behaves on site - so we design from your medium and your piping, not a template.
Jacket connections are arranged to your site, which cuts install trouble, and the order ships with drawings, test reports, material certs, and photos. Distributors working difficult media get a supplier who reads the process problem first and the price second. We keep the build record - size, material, jacket type, port direction, actuator, trim - so the next valve and the spares line up with this one.
